Dr. Carolyn Garcia was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. In 1983 she earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. In 2008, she went on to obtain a Master’s degree in Nursing and then in 2014, a Doctorate degree in Nursing. During the course of her career, she worked in various nursing areas to include the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Emergency Department, Hemodialysis, Medical-Surgical Inpatient Unit, and School Nursing. For the past 10 years she has worked at the El Paso VA where she was first an often requested Primary Care Provider and now serves as a mentor to other primary care providers. She is also a super-user of the VA’s current electronic medical record. Dr. Garcia is much beloved by her patients and colleagues and her love of the nursing profession shines through everything she does. Dr. Garcia is married with two grown children, all of whom are her biggest supporters.
